WOW,
what a way to start the year at the drag strip. That was quite a turn out not
just in volume, but some really top notch drivers also. The course was
challenging, with numerous DNFs, but once you found your way around, it wasn’t
too bad, except for those of us that are prone to senior moments. Lester could
have done something with that frigid wind that kept cutting me to the bone, but
at least it wasn’t raining! And 17 novices1 I hope that’s a sign of things to
come. We really need to encourage them to become members as they finish their
novice period. I hope all of you with computers received the TLAC 1 entry form
I e-mailed, if not you’ll find one elsewhere in this newsletter.
This
looks like a good year for us in the TLAC series, so I hope ya’ll try to take
the trek to Lake Charles with us so we can start collecting points to overthrow
that Delta Region and bring the trophy home at the end of the year.
