Web Hosting FAQ's

How do I FTP to my domain?
Your specific FTP client may differ and vary, however there are three basic pieces of information you will need - Hostname, username, and password. You should already know your password, and the username as well as the hostname will be your domain name (i.e. "shreve.net")

The hostname/username/password combination I am using doesn't seem to work.
You may be using an incorrect password. Some customers may have had different formats for their usernames previously. The new hosting server requires all users to use their full domain name for their username now. Your passwords should not have changed, but occasionally, the passwords may get corrupted when they are being transferred to the new server. You may need to contact technical support to verify your password is correct.

You can upload your content as normal. Please make sure to upload all content to the Public folder. If you upload to any other folder you will not see the changes take affect.

How can I preview my site before making it go live?
After content is uploaded, you can preview your site by going to http://domain.com.previewyoursite.com (example: http://shreve.net.previewyoursite.com).

How can I change my FTP password?

The other option is to contact support and we can assist you in changing your password.

When I set up mail in my new WebsiteOS interface, it doesn't seem to work.
Mail is not set up through the WebsiteOS interface. For that you will need to go to www.nationwidebilling.net and log in. There you can set up new email accounts for your domain.

I had a 'catchall' email account; do I need to change any settings for that?
Under the new mail server, all catchall accounts need to be set up as 'default@example.com' (example.com meaning the name of your domain, such as shreve.net or mybusiness.org). If you are forwarding your catchall to another email address, you need to do nothing further.

If you check the catchall account with your mail program, you may need to create an account in your mail application for the default account. Please visit the following website for instructions on how to set up and/or change mail account: Email Setup Support.
