___ Receive an RWA recognition such as the Lifetime Achievement Award, Service Award, Honor Roll Membership
___ Final in the RITA
___ Place FIRST in any nationally recognized writing contest
___ Sign your first multi-book contract
___ Contract for your first hardcover release
___ Make your first appearance on a specific bestseller list (NYT extended, NYT, USA Today, Waldenbooks, etc.)
___ Sign your first film option
___ Make your first foreign sale
___ Make your first sale to an RWA recognized publisher (if this same sale has not already been recognized with a rising Star Award)
___ Make your first appearance in a major bookclub (not publisher in-house) such as Doubleday, Rhapsody, Literary Guild, etc
___ Make your fist sale in a new category (as defined by RITA categories). Note, this would be recognized only one time per member regardless of how many times she/he crossed into a new category.

In addition to the information listed above, please list the number of books contracted for this year and what career sales they represented (ie: contracted for 3 books, and they represented my 4th through my 6th sale). Note, please only count sales for RITA-eligible works.
IMPORTANT NOTE: While we celebrate all our members’ writing achievements, Published Member Award recognition in this instance is limited to works that are romance novels and novellas (or novels with romantic elements) as defined by RWA RITA categories.
